About
Elyssa Barron, M.D.
I believe that mental wellness is dependent on a host of coexisting factors. While medications often play a role, often other life changes are needed in addition to achieve a wellness goal.

I will help you identify when medications may or may not be helpful and suggest other lifestyle modifications to optimize your level of life satisfaction. Many people have concerns about using medications, especially psychotropics. Please feel free to reach out if you are struggling and we can discuss if medications can play a role in your treatment plan.
I am originally from Texas, where I completed medical school at the University of Texas at Houston. I completed both my psychiatry residency and psychosomatic medicine fellowship at Montefiore Medical Center-Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.
